The VibraCussor Instrument®

VibraCussor VibraCussor® percussion therapy is an exciting new treatment approach for muscle and ligament problems and related myofascial conditions.

The VibraCussor® instrument is used by many professional sports teams to enhance rehabilitation and help reduce pain and discomfort among their top players. Now that same technology is available in this office.

VibraCussor

The VibraCussor® delivers waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body. These percussion waves promote an increase in circulation and lymphatic flow and a decrease in muscle spasm. Additionally, these waves heighten neurological awareness of specific areas of the body and facilitate energetic normalization.

VibraCussor

The repetitive pumping action of the VibraCussor® is ideal for releasing joints. The power of multiple percussive waves accumulates to loosen up "stuck" areas without using heavy thrusting forces.

VibraCussor® therapy is very effective for relaxing muscles. The VibraCussor® can be used to "warm-up" muscles and setting proper tonus prior to athletic events. VibraCussor® therapy can be used following an event/exercise to "flush" muscles and help minimize soreness.

VibraCussor

The VibraCussor® instrument can also be used to gently change the flexibility of shortened ligaments. This can help increase limited ranges of motion and improve postural distortions.

The VibraCussor® is also highly effective in treating "fascial restrictions." Restrictions at the shoulder, hip, and knee joints can be treated successfully with minimal discomfort.

VibraCussor® therapy often helps "frozen" shoulders to become mobile in just a few visits. The VibraCussor® is also very helpful with scars and adhesions associated with surgery.

VibraCussor® Therapy Indications:

  • Joint Fixations
  • Postural Distortions
  • Myofascial Restrictions
  • Trigger Points (Without Injections)
  • "Frozen" Shoulder
  • TMJ Problems
  • Scar Tissue
  • "Energetic" Tune-Up*

*VibraCussor® therapy produces a piezo-electric effect deep in the tissues of the body. The VibraCussor® instrument is also effective when used in cranio-sacral work; visceral manipulation and somato-emotional release therapy.

Testimonial

I wanted to write you a letter to let you know how valuable I found the IMPAC percussor to be in my work with the US Olympic Women's Swim Team...

Six of my patients made it to the Olympic games for swimming (5 US team and 1 Trinidad) and at the request of the head coach I traveled to Sydney for two weeks to work with the team. I found the percussor to be extremely valuable in releasing fascial and muscular restrictions that are commonplace in competitive athletes. Several of the swimmers I treated (as well as 1 athlete from Judo) were unfamiliar with the tool. After working on them for just a few minutes they became instantly aware of what a powerful tool it is. It worked especially great on releasing diaphragmatic restrictions to enhance breathing.

Many elite athletes have benefited from percussion in my office and now every time I travel to big sporting events I will be bringing the IMPAC percussor along with me. Thanks for designing such a wonderful instrument.

Sincerely,

John K. Moore D.C., C.C.N., C.C.S.P.

The ArthroStim Instrument®

Force from Arthrostim

The ArthroStim Instrument delivers 12-14 incremental thrusts per second. By dividing the energy of a single thrust into rapid successive inputs, the ArthroStim® instrument modulates the peak force. This allows your doctor to administer an extremely comfortable and highly effective adjustment.

The secret to the instrument's effectiveness comes from its controlled repetitive input. This input produces a cumulative "snowballing" effect on neural receptors.

This permits the ArthroStim Instrument to create extensive neurological feedback to the brain using greatly reduced forces.

By utilizing controlled, incremental thrusts, the ArthroStim® instrument is also able to stimulate specific neural receptors (mechanoreceptors) without activating undesirable pain receptors.

The Adjustment

Chiropractic adjustments help stimulate the body to heal itself. Traditionally, chiropractors have used single high-energy thrusting and pulling movements to adjust areas of the body. The adjustment sets a series of events into motion.

The adjustment produces precise movements which stimulate neural receptors in an area. These receptors, in turn, produce nerve impulses which relay crucial information to the brain.

The brain depends on this neurological feedback stream to update its awareness about an area. Once the brain evaluates the changes prompted by the adjustment, it issues self-correcting commands to the muscular system, and other systems, to bring about healing changes.

Recently, new ways of producing this important neurological feedback stream have been developed. The ArthroStim® instrument is one of the most effective and comfortable tools for creating this valuable input in an area.

The Benefits

The ArthroStim® instrument permits your practitioner to maintain the effectiveness of your adjustment while reducing the amount of force that is applied. This dynamic combination allows the practitioner to comfortably manage a wider range of conditions.

Individuals who may especially benefit from the use of the ArthroStim® instrument include:

  • Infants and young children
  • Individuals in acute pain
  • Particularly sensitive individuals
  • Individuals who dislike being "cracked"
  • Elderly individuals

Even individuals who are larger and stronger (and may be difficult to adjust with a single thrust) can benefit from the neurological assist that the ArthroStim® instrument provides.

Your practitioner may use the ArthroStim® instrument by itself, or in combination with other adjusting methods, depending on the approach they feel is best for your specific case.

Testimonials

"Since coming to Dr. Mays my daily neck and shoulder pain is basically gone. Dr. Mays explained that one of his chiropractic adjusting instruments is a mechanical ArthroStim® that helps stimulate the body to communicate to my cerebellum and that is why I don't get sore after his adjustment. He also uses other attachments that have really helped my shoulder. I love that Dr. Mays uses mechanical instruments along with my chiropractic adjustments. Best my body has ever been. Thanks, Dr. Mays."

"I love the way I feel after Dr. Mays uses his mechanical instruments along with his chiropractic adjustments."

Rachel B. - Lodi, CA

"My son and I both look forward to our chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Mays. I love that my son laughs and enjoys getting his adjustments when Dr. Mays uses his "magic instruments." He actually asks for it. Dr. Mays has a lot of different mechanical and percussion instruments that has helped my body feel at its best ever."
